BETTE GOLDEN LAMB is a quadruple threat – she’s developed parallel careers as a writer, painter, sculptor, and ceramist. Her art works can be found in a number of galleries and in private collections nationally.
Bette, unmistakably from the Bronx, says that’s why she probably loves to write dark and gritty novels. Yet, she and J. J., her husband co-author, decided to write about a quirky treasure hunt, based on a true experience with heir tracers. That one became Heir Today….
This troublesome sense of adventure has gotten Bette and J. J. into trouble more than once. For instance, fate put them into the wilds of Virginia City, Nevada, an isolated throwback to the old West. J. J. was editor of The Territorial Enterprise, a newspaper where Mark Twain was once editor. And Bette rode shotgun as a mountain-top trauma nurse. Sounds impressive, but fate stepped in again and they ended up running a funky bar, The Silver Stope. It was like becoming real characters in the old TV Western, Bonanza.
Being an RN explains Bette’s intense interest in medical thrillers. She and J. J. Lamb have written novels that include a female serial killer who thinks she’s on a noble mission to save barren women from a life of despair (Sisters in Silence) and the “Bone” series (Bone Dry, Sin & Bone, Bone Pit, Bone of Contention, and Bone Dust).
Bette says writing about Gina Mazzio and her boyfriend, Harry, both RNs, has been a fun experience, and a privilege to write about people who dedicate their lives to helping others. The “Bone” series features a gutsy nurse, who – surprise, surprise – is also from the Bronx, and can’t ignore life-threatening situations for her patients, or herself.
This is the FIFTH fast-paced MEDICAL THRILLER in The Gina Mazzio Series
